Rebecca Reynolds is the author of three poetry collections: Otherly (42 Miles Press, 2025), The Bovine Two-Step (New Issues Press, 2002), and Daughter of the Hangnail (New Issues Press, 1997). Her first collection received the 1998 Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America. Her third collection, Otherly, received the 2023 42 Miles Press Poetry Award. Her poems have appeared in several journals, both print and online, including Quarterly West, Boston Review of Books, Cimarron Review, Web Conjunctions, American Letters and Commentary, The Literary Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, and others. She received a Hopwood Award for Poetry from the University of Michigan and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts grant. She has served as an assistant dean of academic advising at Douglass Residential College, Rutgers, and a part-time lecturer in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Creative Writing at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. She lives with her wife and cats on the northwestern edge of New Jersey, close to the Delaware River and the old towns, farmland, valleys, cliffs, and mountains of western New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
